I have had an Echo Show 5 for over a month in my work office and like it a great deal. I ESPECIALLY like the ability to customize the clock. I...I like it for most of the same reasons I like the Echo Show 5: great connectivity; good diversity of content and skills; and great as a sound speaker and photo display.
My echo dot is the greatest! I have four of them and they make my life ABSOLUTELY easier. They control almost everything, lights, locks TV, music, thermostat with my voice. They hear you almost all of the time and I've only had like two issues with them overall. I really couldn't ask for a more helpful device.
Coming from a proud owner of a 2nd generation Echo and three (3) 2nd generation Echo Dots over a few years now, and decided to add this beautiful piece of machinery to the arsenal. After a few days I am generally pleased with it, but is has limitations, when it comes to sound quality (no surprise there!). The first and obvious update is the new look: like they inflated the 2nd gen dot in fabric after pumping it with air...not too shabby either! But long story short, The Echo Dot is extremely useful and versatile device -- one that gets better as Alexa's skills set expands.
I'm a disabled college student who got this to help with my disability. I liked the rainbow color and just didn't activate the free time feature, which made it a regular dot instead of a kids dot. Without it, I'd have hard times waking up, go outside without proper seasonal training, and forget my medications a lot. It is really a huge help in assisting me in my day to day routine which also helps keep me healthy.
